Success Criteria for Printing
While working and observing a French JK/SK classroom, I came across this example in Mme. Potter's classroom at Davisville PS. I realize that we use these types of criteria’s in older grades but I thought it was an awesome idea to implement in younger grades. I think that having criteria for children (even young children) sets them up for success as they have a model to strive/work towards.
Translation: 4 Stars of Success (for printing in JK/SK)
Translation:
1 Star: Traced (printed) the letters correctly 2 Stars: All the letters are correct; but they are not on the line 3 Stars: All the letters are correct; but not on the right line (or correct side of page); Only used capital letters 4 Stars: All the correct letters; on the right side of paper/lines; used capital and lower case letters correctly. Translation:
1 Star: Traced (printed) the letters correctly; not on the right side of page/lines/ not completed. 2 Stars: Began the task by themselves (without teacher assistance); On the line correctly; but is incomplete 3 Stars: Began the task by themselves (without teacher assistance); On some of the line correctly; is completed 4 Stars: Began the task by themselves (without teacher assistance); On the right lines correctly; is completed |
